I use HelpAReporterOut.com (HARO) often and I find some really great guests that way. My show is very targeted but I manage to find a lot of really good guests using HARO.
Use this form to make a guest request: http://www.helpareporter.com/haro/index.php?r=story/create/ How does this system work? Basically, you complete a form that describes the kind of guest you're looking for. Try to be as specific as possible. In other words, don't say, "I'm looking for anyone who wants to be on my show." Your request should be something like, "I'm looking for an expert who wants to discuss parenting issues on my radio show." Make sure you add a link to your radio show page in the description box so potential guests can check out your show. Also, make sure you spell check and grammar check your requests or it won't get distributed. HARO is FANTASTIC! I've posted on there a few times and have gotten no less then 20 replies each time (all for different topics). This is a source that is a hidden gem that I will be telling people about.
