I'm a woman looking for women empowerment. I have been injured numerous times through domestic violence finally to the point of never being able to work again. I got little or no help to stop this situation and now I advocate or at least try to, still be in a domestic violence situation, to other woman. I learned to write again. I haven't made a lot of money for it or have been in the mainstream with my books. But I feel very proud that I can accomplish something at this point in my life. Any support, feedback, or discussions are greatly welcomed.

Hey Lori,

Your story breaks my heart! YOU SHOULD BE PROUD of yourself!!! First for getting out, and second for using your experiences to move past it and help others. All of my best to you!!!

The first step of getting out of domestic violence is to admit to yourself that you are a victim and you don't deserve the treatment you are getting. You have taken this step by getting out of the violence. Now YOU MUST WRITE your story so that others are encouraged to take that same step.

Thank you so much. I don't know if I can actually write about the entirety of it all in actuality seeing as a lot of it is questionable. We can only see so much upfront and when surrounded and hounded and followed for so long you assume after a while who it is with no actual proof just a sighting from a far knowing they're still out there. I am writing a self-help book for women title "Staying Beautiful While Being Abused" seeing as that was so important to me aspiring as a model/actress in my life for so long which I had to give up because of all the interruptions in my life. There is a lot that I can mention in the book which would be including my experiences along with how I have tried to maintain myself and build a successful life outside of this as it goes on. These bad people get entangled in your life and somehow legally feel that they're in it for the long run even after everything they've done to you. Sometimes unbelievably there's been no legal ramnification available to been done. And these people are still in our lives. Rather than let them completely bring a person down for the rest of their life, kids involved usually, I want to tell how I fight this on a daily basis to have some form of quality in my life and share this. Thank you so much for your support and feedback. This helps me a lot. I welcome any more future ideas or discussions you have.

I think it would be very theraputic for you to write about your experience. Even if you never mean to publish it. I had a difficult period in my life a few years ago and as a defense mechanism I closed up and did not talk to anyone about my problems. After a while, when I started to feel better I began to write in a diary about how the whole experience made me feel. That then led me to be able to actually vocalise my thoughts and problems, which was the most liberating experiences of my life. Go for it! and good luck!
